Originally preserved for its historical significance, Washington Crossing State Park (in NJ) is also well known for its trails and wildlife habitat. You will also find numerous playgrounds, an amphitheater that puts on open air plays each summer, a nature center, and historic information. There are also miles of trails cross cross the park, connecting both the D&R Canal path to Baldpate Mountain (Titusville, Mercer County, New Jersey). Please note that many of the trails are for specific uses. There is a mountain biking area and a horseback riding area. Riding a bike or horse in any other areas may result in a ticket.
