My tank has pretty much been empty for a while. Now its time to drain the water, run new airlines, and decorate again.
My Equipment
Tetra Whisper Air Pump, 60 gal |
My 4 way air tube splitter |
Airline holders, a fish tanks best friend |
Closer shot of the airline holder. its just a suction cup that holds the line close to the glass |
My fishtank suplies. Rocks, fake plants, everything i need |
Bubbler doing its thing |
Takin out the water
It will take about 8 bucket loads of water to get this down to a manageable level. Trying to run air tubes in deep water is pretty tough. The lines will not stay down.. bubble rocks float away.. its just easier with a few inches (or even no water at all).

The Clown Knife is hanging out while I remove the water |
I don't think the Clown Knife will like me taking out any more water |
The Clown Knife is hoping the water does not keep getting lower |
Add back in the decorations
With the water down to about 5 inches, I am able to run the lines down the back corners and across the bottom of the tank. Take note that the lines are held down by suction cups (a picture of these can be found above). I also added back in the rocks, and added back in the plants and decorations.

I can't tell if the Clown Knife is happy its decorated, or pissed he doesn't have enough water |
Time to fill the tank back up.
