So it was time to leave. We were ok with that though. It was a VERY hot few days, and we were ready to get home and have a nice hot shower and comfy bed to sleep in :)
After shooting down through NJ, we crossed the Delaware and headed to Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve. I had been up to Bowman's Tower a few times, but never really spent anytime down in the Wildflower Preserve section of it. This place is really nice and I would recommend that you go if you can.

18 mph? Strange speed limit |
There is a main building with lots of information about the park where you can sit out in a butterfly garden, get info about the park, or purchase some local flowers. For some reason I did not take any pictures of the actual building in this area. Sorry about that.
After a few minutes of pocking around up near the office, we headed back down towards the river on a few more trails.
Right past the bridge we took our first left and followed a nice trail up the side of a hill, back out to the main paved road that brings you up too Bowman's Tower.
While at the tower we noticed that the parking lot looked like no one had driven up here for weeks. But I called a few days later and asked the status of the tower they said it is open everyday of the week except Mondays. Which is the day we went :)
Cacti, ponds, and some more trails on our way back down the hill to my truck.
