I took a trip this weeked up to High point so i could play with my new lenses. I just bought a Nikon AF-S VR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED IF Nikkor Test Review, and Nikon 12-24 F/4GED-If AF-S DX Zoom and wanted some nice sites to play with it.

I leave the lake, get onto 23 south, and than make a left into the main section of the park. As soon as you pay your entrance fee there is a one lane scenic drive to your right. I headed up there to get some pix.

I had never been to the top of the monument so I figured i would head up. I didn't think about the fast that it was hot as hell, humid as hell, and i was going to have to climb 200+ stairs.
