Heading Up River (after getting out of the mud)
|
Getting ready to launch |
|
Stuck in the mud |
Heading upriver towards Allaire may be a quick paddle with no issues. Or you may be greeted by a lot of large fallen trees. Some may be too large to pass (depending on the tide).
|
Trees may block your way |
|
Or you may find a way through |
After we get to the bridge, we turn around and head back downriver.

At this point we just passed the boat launch on our left, and are heading down into the reeds.

At this point the reeds get a bit smaller, the river gets a bit wider and houses start to appear along the banks.
At the very bottom of the our paddle the river has opened up to its complete width. In the distance you can see Petersons/Rt 70 bridge. Paddling there is about a mile or more away.
