Thompson Park, photos and information

The Park System administrative offices are located at this 665 acre park, which was established in 1968 with a donation of 215 acres from the estate of Geraldine Livingston Thompson. The former "Brookdale Farm" was a premier thoroughbred race horse breeding/training facility. The park has grown over the years and has facilities for a variety of recreational interests featuring a fishing lake for canoes/kayaks and electric-powered boats, paved and unpaved trails, tennis courts, playground, group picnic facilities, Craft Center, Visitor Center, and off-leash dog area.
